Photina was a lot more like us than you might think…

Here’s my homily for this week, on the Gospel of the Woman at the Well. St. Photina (or Photine) is her name, according to Greek Orthodox and Roman Catholic tradition.

How was she like us? Well…she was looking for something. She had been looking for something most of her life. And she found it (or It found her) at the well outside Sychar that day. We are all looking for something…Someone…too, even if we won’t admit it.
